The coconut fibers are attached to the base with glue. Due to this, not all fibers are equally secured, and it is completely normal for some fibers to come loose at the beginning of use.

Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. First, the husks are "seasoned" in coastal lagoons where they are collected, and then they are manually beaten to extract the fiber. The doormats are painted and colored by hand one by one using different stencils. Afterwards, a traditional outdoor sun-drying technique is used to fix the paint on the doormat's surface. Finally, the non-slip base is added, which keeps the doormat firmly in place and reduces the risk of slipping.
