Right Whale Figurine

With its immense dark body and calloused head, the right whale is one of the most unique cetaceans in the oceans. It is mainly found in temperate and cold waters, where it moves slowly at the surface.

Surprisingly, the right whale owes its name to a sad historical reputation. Its slowness, natural buoyancy after death, and oil richness once made it "easy" to hunt, leading it to the brink of extinction. Now protected, it remains a rare and endangered species. Like the blue whale, it feeds mainly on plankton and small crustaceans, which it filters with its baleen. Its powerful, V-shaped blow allows it to be recognized from afar.

This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the right whale: massive silhouette, skin details, and realistic proportions. An ideal model to enrich a collection of marine animals, invent high-seas stories, or raise children's awareness about protecting endangered species.
