Cormorant Figurine

A skilled and tenacious seabird, the cormorant is renowned for its incredible diving abilities. It can be found on coasts, lakes, and estuaries, where it fishes with great efficiency.

Remarkably, unlike many aquatic birds, the cormorant does not have completely waterproof feathers. This unique characteristic allows it to dive more easily underwater to catch fish and crustaceans, but it also means it must dry itself by spreading its wings in the sun after each hunt. Capable of diving over 20 meters deep, it uses its webbed feet like true propellers.

This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the cormorant: slender silhouette, hooked beak, and precise feather details. An ideal model to enrich a collection of marine animals, invent stories about coastlines, or educate children about the fascinating fishing techniques of this great diver.
