Elephant Seal Figurine

Recognizable by its gigantic size and the prominent nose of the adult male, the elephant seal is the largest of all pinnipeds. It is found on the coasts of South and North America, where it spends a large part of its life in the water.

Remarkably, males can exceed 4 tons and measure over 5 meters in length. During mating season, they engage in spectacular fights to defend their harem. Excellent divers, elephant seals can descend to depths of over 1,500 meters and hold their breath for nearly two hours, a record among marine mammals. Their diet consists mainly of fish and squid, which they catch in the depths.

This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the elephant seal: imposing body, wrinkled skin, and realistic details. An ideal model to enrich a collection of marine animals, create stories about ocean beaches, or educate children about the incredible adaptations of this ocean giant.
