Macaroni Penguin Figurine

With its distinctive yellow plumes above its eyes, the macaroni penguin is one of the most recognizable penguins. It is mainly found in the Southern Hemisphere, on sub-Antarctic islands and rocky coasts.

Astonishing fact: despite its small size compared to other penguin species, the macaroni penguin is an excellent swimmer. It can dive to over 100 meters to catch fish, crustaceans, and squid. During the breeding season, it forms huge, noisy colonies, where faithful pairs find each other through their distinctive calls. Its golden plumes, which give it a "styled" look, distinguish it from all other penguins.

This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the macaroni penguin: contrasted plumage, yellow crest, and realistic posture. An ideal model to enrich a collection of marine animals, invent polar stories, or raise children's awareness of the astonishing diversity of penguins.
