The coconut fibers are attached to the base with glue. As a result, not all fibers are held with the same intensity, and it is completely normal for some fibers to come loose at the beginning of use.

Each doormat is made from the husk of approximately 25 coconuts. The husks are first "seasoned" in coastal lagoons where they are harvested, then hand-beaten to extract the fiber.
