Silent and focused, the lioness treads softly, ready to pounce on her prey. In the savannah, the females do most of the hunting. Organized and cooperative, they hunt in groups to trap animals faster than themselves, such as antelopes or zebras. Their cunning and coordination make them highly effective.
A surprising fact: despite their major role in hunting, it is often the males who eat first, before the females and cubs can feed. This behavior highlights the importance of hierarchy within the pride, as well as the strength of their social life.
This Papo figurine perfectly captures the posture of a lioness in full pursuit: low body, tense muscles, and eyes fixed on her prey. A striking model to enrich a collection of wild animals, recreate realistic savannah hunting scenes, or introduce children to the fascinating behaviors of African felines.
