Released in 1950, Cinderella is the film that essentially saved Walt Disney Studios from bankruptcy. It tells the story of, you guessed it, Cinderella, who leads a far from perfect life after losing her parents at a young age and is now mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters. In true Disney fashion, she is "saved" from this life by Prince Charming.
However, before Prince Charming fell in love with Cinderella, she was visited by the Fairy Godmother, who gave her hope. After her wicked stepsisters ruined her pink dress, the Fairy Godmother transforms the tattered remains into a stunning blue gown for the ball.
