Description +
Impressive and intriguing, the tarantula is one of the world's largest spiders. Easily recognizable by its hairy body and long, sturdy legs, it lives in warm and tropical regions, primarily in America.
Contrary to popular belief, the tarantula is not dangerous to humans: its bite is generally comparable to a wasp sting. It hunts at night, feeding on insects, small amphibians, and sometimes rodents. Surprisingly, when it feels threatened, it can project tiny urticating hairs to defend itself. Some species are also capable of regenerating a lost leg over the course of their molts.
This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the tarantula: hairy legs, rounded abdomen, and menacing posture. An ideal model to complete a collection of wild animals, invent thrilling stories, or raise children's awareness of the surprising diversity of the arachnid world.
